About Us
Founded by Deborah Oatts and Nadina Edwards in 1994, Nubian Construction Group began as a dump truck hauler but soon found that its ability to successfully coordinate project details among a wide range of providers added value to our construction industry clients.
Nubian prides itself on working side-by-side with our clients during every phase of their project—planning, design, start-up and construction. Our specialized teams work to address each client’s unique needs, maintain open lines of communication and ensure that projects exceed their goals. Whether we are coordinating an entire construction project or simply providing materials hauling, our seasoned personnel, specialized expertise, and state-of-the-art information management systems help Nubian deliver successful projects on time and within budget.
With a proven track record in construction management and dump truck hauling, Nubian has executed many high-profile jobs for the Indiana Department of Transportation and the City of Indianapolis. A few of these projects include the Indianapolis International Airport Midfield Terminal Project, the Indianapolis International Airport CIP projects, Kroc Center and the I-465 corridor.
Nubian Construction Group is a certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in the state of Indiana. Symbolic of the outreach and community-building she is known for, Nubian founder Deborah Oatts is a Past President of the Board for the Indianapolis Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
