Construction Underway on the New Northview Middle School Project
Construction of the new Northview Middle School for the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township is well underway, according to an update provided by the project’s Construction Managers, Powers & Sons Construction. The building, located at 91st Street and College Avenue, will be 207,000 square feet and will serve 6th through 8th graders in the school district when completed.
Nubian Construction Group is proud to be a partner on the project, helping with community engagement and subcontractor outreach. According to Powers & Sons Construction, the project’s XBE spend to date is $13 million, or 27% of the subcontracted work. One of the project goals is to have a diverse workforce shaping the future home of the Northview Falcons by practicing equitable procurement, and Nubian Construction is excited to be one of the driving forces to make this goal a reality.
